9. Thomas Cruise⁴ Mapother was born in Louisville, Jeffeson, Kentucky 29 Dec 1876.⁽¹⁵⁾ Thomas died 12 Apr 1939 in Louisville, Jeffeson, Kentucky, at 62 years of age.⁽¹⁶⁾ His body was interred 14 Apr 1939 in Kentucky, St. Louis Cemetery.⁽¹⁷⁾

He married Anna Bateman. Anna was born in Louisville, Jeffeson, Kentucky 20 Jul 1877. Anna was the daughter of Thomas J. Bateman and Elvira Tompkins. Anna died 29 Nov 1968 in Jefferson Co., Kentucky, at 91 years of age.⁽¹⁸⁾ Research by others states that Thomas C. Mapother is the son of Dillon H. Mapother. In researching the Mapother Line, this researcher was unable to prove this claim. Research on Dillon H. Mapother shows that he died in 1874, putting his date of death three years before Thomas C. Mapother was born.
