| William Holden
was 20 when he was "discovered" while performing at the
Pasadena Community Playhouse. During his career, he appeared in
a number of films including Our Town, Sunset Boulevard
and Stalag 17 for which he won an Academy Award. He will
also be remembered for his wildlife preservation in Kenya. William
Holden also had a special connection to one of our other featured
celebrities, he and George Washington
are third cousins nine times removed. |
