New clues: Jesse's father lived on the Yalobusha. Buffa has married A-nem-po-la, daughter of Tish-o-pia. Chema's first husband was Loo-ma-to-cubbee and he was from the Mogalusha band of Choctaw. Jesse was of Captain Cobb's Company and lived on lands in section 11, township 11, range 9E, south of the Pearl River near Tus-ka-la-mitta on a creek called Chish-i-al-mo. When Jesse went to visit his father, a white man moved into his house. He then moved in with his mother-in-law who lived 12 miles away. This residence was 1 mile from Ha-Cubbee who was the witness deposed. After this, Jesse went West of the Mississippi for a couple of months but was back in time to plant corn. His family never left. Chema is a "kind of a sister" to Ha-Cubbee. Jesse attempted to register but Col Ward did not take his names.
There has to be more out there to prove one way or the other.
