Greetings Black Hawk War Society Board Members. Theres plenty of new content on the BHWS Board. The BHWS board has many new members and has become a very active place to participate in onging discussions about local history. The BHWS is going into it's second year as a living history organization, and we are constantly growing, We presently have over fifteen active members who actively participate in living history events around the area in Illinois and Wisconsin, and we have forty plus members who particpate on the Black Hawk War Society board. If anyone has any suggestions or comments please feel free to contact board admin Gene Stevens or Tom, they will be more than happy to answer any questions that you may have.

Do you enjoy the smell of a great campfire along with some great company?The Black Hawk War Society is always recruiting! It does not take much to get into historical reenacting. It may seem a little tough at first, trying to put together your first "Reenacting Kit", but most of us have accomplished assembling our gear within our first season. With a little help from the group and a few dollars of your own, you could find yourself in one of the most rewarding hobbies around! We have plenty of events left on this years schedule, so if you've been think about getting into the hobby, nows the time!
