I think when one rod points straight and the other points in another direction is indicating that there is a continuation of the same grave or a new grave is found. Have you been marking the entire grave? This helps in determing the size of the grave as to show weather a adult grave or the grave of a child. it also my tell you the direction of burial. The 3 steps and the rods crossing may indicate a child's grave. Dowsing is facinating. I experimented with live subjects.ex. the dog laying in the yard in an area where no water or sewer lines exist; the rods did not cross until I was standing directly over the dog. I was asked to dowse for a old plank road on a battle field. I was told NOT to enter the woods. AS I walked the side of a hill at the border of the woods my rods stayed pointed in the direction of the woods. This is where the park service believed the road was located.
