Great Grandparent Cemetery Search Strike Out - Suggestions?
Any suggestions on accurately finding where great grandparents Bessie and Herman Kinder are buried? Herman passed in 1988 in Riverside and Bessie passed in South Gate in 1978. Only clue I know is my grandma says she thinks they're in a graveyard in Corona, California.
I have spent the entire day searching online and am exhausted. Every site I've tried is not helpful. I was humbled to see all the independent websites where people take time out of their lives to transcribe graves. I can't believe newspapers only keep obit archives for 5-10 years, online. Total bummer. And then there's GenealogyBank that claims it has the records I seek but I'm not interested in spending $10 to see what I already know. I tried to talk to the Riverside County Clerk, who says the cemetery is usually on the death certs but if Roots/Archives/Ancestry does't have that info I worry. I think I'm gonna have to call back. I guess I can write all the cemeteries in Riverside.
My issue is I'm afraid to pay for a service if their cemetery isn't listed on their Death Certs. Ggpa Herman doesn't appear to have any obit. Ggma Bessie does but I can't get more than a sentence out of it from Legacy. I don't even know what paper it's in. This genealogy stuff is unfun.
I was really hoping they'd be in FindAGrave.com but it's not gonna be that easy. Wanted to take a video of them for Mother's Day for gma… I can tell this is gonna be harder to do than that. =(
Thanks for any help, at all.
