He is listed as a POW in Kentucky dated Jan 31, 1864.Having been captured at Hickman County, Tenn on Jan 23, 1864. Transferred to Louisville, Ky for exchange. Sent to Rock Island prison in Illinois on Feb 3, 1864. Arrived ther on Feb 6, 1864, Transferred to Point Lookout,prison inMaryland on Feb 25, 1865 to be exchanged. Name appears on a list of patients at Jackson Hospital in Richmond, Va dated March 7, 1865. Name appears on at Way Hospital, on a list date March 24, 1865 at Merdian, Mississippi stating he has been furloughed/paroled.
