Civil War records
My great grandfather served in two Civil War Maine Infantry Regiments. After the war, he moved to Worcester, Massachusetts where he was a member of the GAR Post No. 10 (George H. Ward Post). Two books list members of this GAR Post. One is "Active and Past Members of Geo. H. Ward Post 10, G.A.R., Department of Massachusetts, Charles R. Stobbs, printer 1888. The other is "Roster of George H. Ward Post, No. 10, Department of Massachusetts, Grand Army of the Republic, Worcester, Mass., 1896, F. S. Blanchard and Co. printers, 1896.I would like to know if my great grandfather is listed in these books. His name was Joseph Edgecomb Hooker.
