James A Taylor - enlisted by Col. Colquitt at Yorktown, Virginia, in Capt. Cleveland's Company E, 6th Georgia Infantry Regiment (Crawford County Greys) on 28 Jul 1861. His father, James M Taylor, made claim to all money due him on 13 Dec 1862, stating that his son had neither wife nor child nor children. His claim was finally paid by the Confederate government on 26 Aug 1863. It totaled $96.76, including one month and 13 days pay @ $11 per month ($15.76), $50 previously unpaid enlistment bounty, and $25 for clothing.
