My grandmothers brother was sent to the Fairbault Institute in 1899. I called the Minnesota Historical Society in St. Paul, and they said that there where documents listing the people who worked and lived there, as well as some pictures in their library. If you live in Minnesota you can get the books at your local library with an interlibrary loan. Two I found where: Title: Applications for admission, [ca. 1883]-1921 bound application forms. That form gives lots of information! Title: Class journals, 1897-1926 that includes names of the students and a record of their work.
