I don't know the Baileys or the Legiers, but my grandparents were both deaf. Grandfather, Calvin Frank Webber had an older brother, William W. Webber who was deaf also. His wife, my grandmother, Mahulda Frances Owens, was deaf and had two older sisters and one older brother who were deaf too, but the interesting part was that of the nine children Frank and Fannie had, NONE was deaf, nor was any of the children of their siblings. They all were born in the early 1800's, and all but one of these deaf attended the Arkansas School for the Deaf, where initially they were described as deaf from birth. Over the next five years, it came to light that each one became deaf in their early years from various causes.
