I would alter the instructions a bit. Note that lines 6 (Reset) and 7 (Clear) should normally not be executed after the first search. The next step is line 8: Check the unmatched markers, increment by 1 and perform another search. Uncheck the matched markers, decrement the remaining unmatched markers by 2 (by clicking twice on the -1 button) and search again. Uncheck the matched markers, increment the remaining ones by 3, search again and so forth until all markers match. This is a more efficient process than going in one direction, since most matches will be within two of the haplogroup modal.
If DYS389ii is a mismatch and DYS389i is a match, DYS389ii can be extracted with the other markers. However, if DY389i is a mismatch, check DYS389ii whether or not DYS389ii is a match. Once a match is found for DYS389i, uncheck both, even if there is no match for DYS389ii. In that case, once all of the other markers have been uncovered, it will be necessary to go back and repeat the process for DYS389ii alone.
DYS464 can usually be extracted with the other markers using the above technique. If not, use the technique described on the site.
