My g/g/g/g/g-parents Robert & Sarah H. Caldwell migrated from Nthn Ireland in 1761 or 1764? In 1766-67 they were allotted 88 acres on Turners Patent 1764 at White Ck (so named by a group from Massachusetts)/New Perth (so named by a group from Ireland) now Salem (after govt stepped-in in 1788 because it was said that you can't have 2 names).
Robert & Sarah raised 5 children - John Todd, James, Elizabeth, Andrew Todd & Robert Jnr.
I am wanting any information on their life in Salem over that 10 yrs period. I know its a big ask, but any little snippet will suffice. Is it possible that there is reference material that may give me an insight into what life was like generally in their time in Salem, which was the pre-War of Independence period.
Thanking you in anticipation of any feedback. however small!
P.S They apparently lived at Stillwater/NYS for 1-2 yrs, before they settled on their allotment.
