I found this written about my ancestors and I'm trying to confirm the information:
"The Hogls sailed in 1852 from Le Havre, France on the sailing vessel Hurlbut, considered the second largest vessel then afloat. They landed in New York and came across Pennsylvania by canal, and were pulled up over the mountains on little trains attached to cables. They settled in Pittsburgh as it was said to be a growing iron and steel town."
The names I'm looking for are: Franz, Franziska, Michael, Caroline, Franz Hogl and Anne Neumeyer
