Mary Ann O'Donnell was born July 28 1873(I have her birth certificate)to James O'Donnell(dob about 1845) and Susan Doheerty(dob about 1845).They married in 1865/66 at Sacred Heart Church in Cardonagh Co Donegal Think that Mary Ann may have been born in Glenmakee if not Cardonagh.
I have been trying for years to find the RIGHT Mary Ann O'Donnell.I was told she came over about 1883, on the SS Austrian. Now I have my doubts, about that since so many years, have passed and I keep getting the wrong Mary Ann. The one I seem to get all the time is one that was 18, and a domestic, and that age is way off.
Does anyone have access to ship list for 1883, that were coming from Ireland, maybe thru Liverpool(Moville also), into Boston. ?If so I'd appreciate a try at find my Mary Ann O'Donnell.
She had brothers named Patrick(1867) John (1868) Neil(1871) Denis (1878) and Philip(1880) and 1 sister Maggie(1875). All but Patrick and Maggie (and parents) came to Boston areathe last was Philip who came in 1897.
I know that Mary Ann m Patrick Bradley(also from Co Donegal) April 17 1902 in Boston, and they had 7 children(6 lived) Susan 1904, Helen J 1906, Margaret Mary(Jan 3 1908-my mom)Mary Rita(1909) James(1912) and Theresa Agnes(1915). All now deceased of course. They lived in Malden, Peabody, and finally settled in Salem MA about 1920 or so I think.
Gave you this inf since names are so common.
Thank you for any help. I have tons of inf on these folks, just need the exact date/ship/ etc Mary Ann came over on about 1883.
