Before switching over to Windows 7, I often had problems with FTM 2011,"encountering a problem and must close now" messages. Finally the program crashed. When I restored it, many of my notes had doubled and tripled and my sources were really messed up. For example, my grandmother's SS death index record became the sources for German relative'sfrom the 1700 and 1800's who were related to my grandfather.
Apparently FTM 2011 liked one of my grand-uncles in particular as he became a source for many pieces of information. I started making corrections but having entered over 3000 thousand individuals in my different lines, doing so is very tedious task that I finally stopped. The notes fortunately were easy to eliminate in terms of doubling or tripling.
My miracle software that would have reduced the amount of typing that I would have had to do became a real nightmare especially for someone like me who has a neurological problemI have considered simply creating an annotated bibliography of sources to add to an un-sourced copy of any trees that I have been working on. In many cases, I copied and pasted the sources under notes to work from and also have copies of many documents to add anyway from various sources.
It's been awhile since this occurred and I've had no problems with it with Windows 7. I was even considering buying FTM 2014 because it offers features I like, but I don't want to add to an already existing problem.
I would appreciate anyhelp or suggestions.Thank you. Carl
