I received a flyer by mail from "Contributing Priver family members in conjunction with The International Priver Family News" announcing the pre-sale of "The Year 2004 International Priver Family Yearbook" and free CD ROM claiming to hold factual information about marriages, births, records and "gathering places". Ours is such a rare name that surely we would have heard of such a thing as an international family newsletter, but, could it be? Then I read "Did you know that 3 PRIVER households live in OHIO in 1999 (which is the largest state gathering. We've got the counts in all states)." Well, no they don't, because I can think of 7 households in 1999 in Southern California alone, so their data is flawed at best and a total scam at worst. In tiny print is "By Morphcorp LLC, publishers of The International Priver Family News". I did an internet search and quickly found your site. What a revelation. I certainly won't be sending them the $39.83 and $5 processing fee. Thanks for the information.
