Glad to hear that I was not the only one to fall for their scam.I don't remember the dates but sometime in 1990 or 91 I received their letter advertising their "book" called "Three Hundred Years of Carlows."Carlow is a rather unusual name so naturally I sent my $28.00 and also kept the original letter, which stated "satisfaction or your money back."I received their 10 or 12 page "book" that was simply typewritten pages stapled together.I returned the so-called book and informed them that I already had more informaiton than they had and I now wanted my money back. There was no response so I sent the same letter again by certified mail and still no response but did get my receipt for the letter.Next, (about three months after our original transaction) I went to my local postoffice and filed a complaint with my postmaster, for mail fraud.About three weeks later I finally received a check for $28.00 in the mail. The U.S. Postal may be slow in delivering mail but they sure do get attention when it come to fraud.
