I am not familiar with FTM; my experience of moving files from Generations is limited to transfers to Legacy and to Family Historian. However, the process should be essentially similar.
If FTM is like other programs into which you import a GEDCOM file, if it finds tags it doesn't recognise it will either ignore them completely or will throw up some sort of error message. Trial and error (for example using a subset of your data, selected to include individuals for which you have a lot of different types of data) is the way to find out which. You may find guidance on FTM bulletin boards or mailing lists.
