I purchased Generations Grande Suite 8 software several years ago and installed it on a computer with Windows 98. I love this software! This computer shows signs of its age (it has stopped working many times, but eventually comes back and works). My problem is this:I loaned my software package to someone years ago and I can't remember who has it.I did buy a Family Tree Maker product about 2 years ago, but it is very hard to hand key all of the information in the new software and I am worried about typos that I may make.Since I don't have the old software to load on the new computer and transfer data, is there anything I can do to save the information before the old computer crashes? Is there any way I can purchase another copy of that software? Also, in order to avoid the problem of unavailable software, what software package is safe for me to purchase and use.I want to share my information with as many branches of my family as I possibly can.
