I, too, have used Generations Grande Suite for years, and have been forced, very reluctantly, to move to another programme. I have found Legacy 7.5 to be an excellent choice. The Sources all moved in their entirety, but appeared with the heading "Source" for each. I then had to go throught them, and write in the heading. Where the same source has been used many times e.g. "1851 Census", when you have written this in once, it fills in automatically, wherever you have used it.
Legacy is a very easy programme to use as it is obvious what to do. It comes with a manual and the technical advice service is excellent.
Incidentally, I found it helpful to go through the Miscellaneous Notes entries and separate all paragraphs by leaving an empty line. Paragraphs made by indentation would otherwise transfer in a block. I identified where it was necessary to do this by making Register Reports on Generations.
You can get a free download of the Standard Edition of Legacy, to see how you like it before going ahead and purchasing the De Luxe Edition.
