Okay. Per Bill, I finally found the FreeServe and Opware through my regedit.I couldn't disable, so I just deleted them from the registry. Did not help.Next, I rolled back the new Nvidia driver upgrade, still no help. Then a couple of days ago, mainly to get rid of all the Nvidia icons and doodads on my desktop and toolbar. I completely uninstalled all of it and IT 'evidently' included all my VGA drivers. When I rebooted, Windows had to look for new drivers.went through three restarts, and changed all the settings,I finally let windows choose.Well, Still had data disappearing.....And my screen, displays, etc were very ragged looking, screen looked like it was in Safe Mode but it wasn't. Well, I decided to bite the bullet and RE-Install the Nividia Upgrade. Now everything is working fine. The Files accept new information without having to completly retype everything, no disappearing names......Don't have any idea what really caused the improvement.I've also downloaded some other Critical updates.....might be anything, but i'll not complain as long as I don't have to do everthing two or three times. I'm not sure I recommend DIY for everyone,I've 'tweaked' all my computers, NOT ALWAYS A GOOD THING.Definitely not for the novice.
