Hi Terry, thanks for the response. I am unable to process any reports (Register Report, Family Sheet, Ahnentafel, etc.) in the report menu without getting the message. I have tried to run the report from several source persons and they all have regular names; no question marks or other punctuation marks. I am going to try to find the Word program disc and reinstall it, but I'm wondering why the error message refers to my "D" drive. I have no problem displaying charts, it just seems that the Generations program is not hooking up with the word processing program. The default is correctly set to Microsoft Word. Please note that I recently installed the newest version of Generations on my system and the prior Generations (8.0) program successfully displayed reports through Word. Thank you.
