Hello, I have a friend with a nasty problem. She had the Easy Family Tree, we think version 4.0, with all of her family files on it, and the computer (old laptop) is dead. She did make a backup copy of her file on a floppy.
Trouble is the floppy has a file that only Easy Tree will read and needs to find the Easy Family Tree, or similar program that will run her floppy on her new computer.
Can someone suggest a current download of Easy Family Tree, or possibly Generations software that will allow her to restore her Easy Family Tree floppy data to her new computer?
We see that Sierra no longer handles this software and heard Genealogy.com picked it up.
Once she is able to restore her floppy to her new computer, then we want to save and send the file as a gedcom (.ged) to use on other programs.
The floppy she has currently is probably in the old format file type, something like .ud?
