For those of you who like the Generations program but are having trouble with the disappearing syndrome....it is not the Generations program that is causing the problem. There is a conflict with another program on your system. I was told to use the msconfig command and click on the tab that says Startup.Disable all the programs. Then check your Generations program and see if it works properly. If so, then go back and one by one enable each file on startup and after each one, check and see if Generations still works correctly. When you enable a file and Generations starts losing information, go back and disable the file. This will not cause problems with your system and it doesn't remove anything from your computer. This is time consuming, but it works. The file I found to be causing my Generations problems was: AOL DIAL c:Program FilesCommonFilesAOLACSAOLDial.exe
I disabled this on startup and my Generations program is working perfectly...no info disappearing.Disabling this program has not caused any problems with my system or AOL.
