OK, I fell for the propaganda. TWR.com (uk) says version 8.5a is compatable with Windows XP so like a sucker I bought it. Generations 6.0 works with XP Home SP2 also but it just won't "save" new source data.
I installed version 8.5a today and guess what? It won't "save" the source data either just like 6.0. It saves the source number without any data.
Michael Hobart says it may be because my XP is on 'D' drive not 'C' drive. He says the UK version must be used on the 'C' drive.
So I'm stuck still having to keep Win98, on the 'C' drive just for Generations. I was hoping to get rid of Win98.
Ive been using Generations for over 7 years now and have tried other programs like FTM and Legacy but Generations is the best of all.
