I have taken a number of different DNA tests. The best most complete results are with DNA Tribes, that showed matches with a number of Jewish communities around the Mediterranean as well as to the Ashkenazim Jewish community. I have about 17,000 ancestors in my tree, and so for the most part i can narrow down the results by eliminating entire branches of my family who i know to be French or Scottish. So, from the broad -spectrum DNA tests, it sure does look like these early Virginia Families in my tree, including theAnthony family , were very possibly of Sephardic Jewish ancestry !:-)The DNA Tribes test also confirmed two different Native American lines in my family, as well as faint traces of African ancestry, all of which conforms tomy families oral history. This last bit really shows to me how accurate DNA Tribes testing to be, as they had no idea that my family had stories of being both Powhatan on my Fathers side, and Choctaw with some African on my Mothers side, but both showed up in the results, and in the percentages that would match the timelines.
