Am researching my son's Kasner/Letson Tree with many ancestors from Netherlands who settled in New Amsterdam, and I found a Tserck Rosenbloom who married Maritje Wynants, both born about 1680, and that is all the info I found. Their daughter Elizabeth Rosenbloom, b. 12 Sep 1705 in N.Y or N.J., married Issac Van Deursen, Jr., b. 6 Feb. 1698 in Hackensack, N.J. Tserck Rosenbloom does not sound like a Dutch name, and when I looked for given names beginning with Tse, found only African, Egyptian, Native American and Jewish names, but the name Tserck was not listed in any source I searched. I would welcome any information or insight as to the possible origin of the name Tserck, and if there are any links to Jewish roots in the Wynants or Van Deursen (that surname became Van Duzer in the U.S., evidently) genealogies.
