I"ll never give up, despite the very tenuous connection, my claim to old Viking "Ivar the Boneless" due to an early invasion of a portion of the British Isles by the Norse. Some things are just to great to let go.
For a long time, about 20 years ago, I was in daily communication in early e-mail days with a historian/genealogist in Oslo (Kaare Lie) who also had excellent command of English. Depending how one interpreted ancient languages, he even found me a possible werewolf in Denmark.
But I'm better now . . . and no longer chase such butterflies as Lady Godiva, Robert Bruce, the crowned heads of Europe, etc.
