When I was a kid in the '60's, there was a lady in our hometown in the Bay Area who sold candy out of a room at her house that had about five small aisles. She had bags of penny candy, baseball cards and other cards. She also had pixie sticks, sugar babies, bubblegum cigars and wax lips. She was well known around town and if you were the baby inyour family like me, your siblings went there too. I spent my weekly ten cents I got for chores there.
