I love old TV shows. The only thing I watch on network TV anymore is the local CBS news, Jeopardy and Who do you think you are. Everything else I watch is on cable or PBS.
I was a kid in the '60's. I suffered and still do from migraines so my mom made me go to bed before 8pm so I didn't get to watch much primetime back then. I watched the reruns in the 70's.
My favorite 50's shows were Leave it to Beaver, Father knows best, and Gunsmoke. The 60's shows I liked were That Girl, Bewitched, Addams family, Andy Griffith, Ed Sullivan, Dick Van Dyke, Laugh-In, Gunsmoke, The Flying Nun and My three sons. In the 70's I was a big fan of the cops and detectives. Jim Rockford, Mike Stone and Steve Keller, Banacek, Cannon and Kojak. I also loved the Walton's. John and Olivia are some of my favorite TV parents along with Ward and June Cleaver, Rob and Laura Petri, Gomez and Morticia Addams, Howard and Marion Cunningham and Darren and Samantha Stephens.
From the 80's I enjoyed The Cosby show, Life Goes on and The wonder years.
I watch Me TV now so I can see the original Hawaii 5-0, Rockford, Batman, That Girl and even Phil Silvers if I want to. I saw Danny Thomas on Van Dyke the other day. What a great guy he was!!!!!
You can have your reality TV shows- blech!!!! Dana
