My dad wouldn't help me by my first car, in the 1970s. My sister-in-law did. I don't think she knew much about cars, however, she knew someone who was selling a car. I ended buying a 1960 Studebaker Lark. The color car was a light metallic green. The neat feature of the car was, the fold down seats. It was great going to drive-ins with my friends and watch movies, because we could spread out and eat all the good stuff.
I drove the car, until it wouldn't go. I sold the car few years after I bought it, because of the transmission. The car wouldn't go forward, or backwards. I sold it for $75.00. The guy who bought it was a demolition driver. He had two other Larks. My car had the best body.
