Glynda, I looked at the 1880 census, it does appear to be 69, but the second number is almost hidden by the line seperating the columns.
I can send that page to you in an email, if you would like.
I noticed there are several Byrds on that page and the following pages, as David lived in the Bryds Store Precinct on the 1880 census. According to the children's age and birth state of those Byrds, they stopped off in AR between MO and TX, about 1954-55.
