Greetings. Every once in a while I go poking around these pages to see if people have been misled by a title. I do it partly out of the goodness of my heart and partly to draw people to my web site. The latter has some links and tips concerning Internet Genealogy for beginners. I have a monthly bet for lunch with my nephew over whose site gets the most hits. His is heavy on the jokes and flashy graphics teenagers love. Mine is plain but useful. If you are interested, go to the main page,
Then scroll down to the link for "Genealogy Pages", click on it and look for "Beginning Genealogy". You might like "What is a GEDCOM?" too. Either way, I'm one hit closer to a free lunch. If you find the pages helpful, feel free to share them with thirty or forty of your closest friends.
I suspect you are a beginner to Internet Genealogy because PAF is a software product for genealogy. This particular page is for people who use the program. People who uses PAF may know something about your family. They may not. Posting here is a bit like hitch-hiking in front of a Dodge dealer instead of in front of a freeway on-ramp. You probably don't care what make or model genealogy program someone uses, so long as they are going the way you want to go and can give you a ride.
GenForum.com and FamilyHistory.com both have pages devoted to specific surnames and specific counties. Either would be a better place to post. My page has links to both places.
