This was very strange! I had quite a few notes on a person in my database (PAF 5.2) and they have been there just fine. I entered more on them tonight. I went back a little later to enter some on a different person and the notes from my other person were on him! I looked, and they were on the person that they should have been on also. I deleted from the wrong person. A short time later, I went back to enter another note on person #1 and it had the notes from person #2!!!!! I did not enter these wrong -- the program is goofing up something here!!!!
I ran a custom report of all people with notes, and these were the only ones messed up. Everything else was fine.
So, I pulled up the backup copy from last night. It also did the same thing!!! (It was backed up last night when the notes were just fine.)
I decided I was going to have to reconstruct all the notes for this person, but thought I'd try one more thing -- I closed the PAF program and then opened just the program again - no database. I then restored the backup from last night and there they were!!! I copied them, closed the backup, opened the active database and pasted them in.
Does anyone have any idea why this happened? I'm afraid it's going to happen to ALL my notes or other information! I'm going to dump the whole database into an RTF just in case as an added backup.
I am using Windows XP home 2002 on a HP Intel Celeron 1200Mhz, 1.2GHZ.
