I'm beyound my memory capacity here.... I had the same problem, converting to a newer PAF software from the origional version I.I am now using FTM., and need to convert from the DOS FTM to 2005...anyways... It's been 20 years since I made this call. I called the Mormon Library in Salt Lake. They had a woman there, who gave the name and telephone number of a fella in Michigan, who had worked a patch out for the PAF files upgrade.(I'm sure he worked at Fords') It sounded like he was one of the software designers for PAF.(volunteer) I used it.....and it didn't work.He never gave me any corrections for it) Never could find any answer to that problem from there on...so. I printed the whole mess out in PAF, and manually entered it into my newer PAF. To convert to FTM (and Brothers keeper) I just outputed in GEDCOM, and imported the whole thing....that worked flawlessly) (I beleive the origional GEDCOM file structure was changed after version I....that was the primary problem in all of it.)I had an aquiantence look at the file structures, and he couldn't get me a data base file that would do it either. I had 700 individuals...took along time.
