Thanks for information. It will take me a few hours to make a Gedcom of my Paf 2.31 data base.I will order the disks for the PAF 5.2 from the LDS although I could download it easily -- hoping it comes with a manual.I have trouble finding information on the computer but can absorb instructions from a manual.
Based on your information I would need to buy the Companion program to make PAF 5 fully functional for my needs.
I still have PAF 2.31 and Genbook on my old 486 but worried that I May exceed the 15 MB memory on it and cause the program to fail.I hate to lose the capability of Genbook but maybe PAF 5 and Companion will be a good alternative.
I am unsure about setting up PAF 5.2 to accept my Gedcom created from PAF 2.31 but will follow this course of action.
Based on your experience I have given up Family Tree Maker even though I have already purchased the program and it is still in the box.
