The file you downloaded was a Setup file, probably PAF5EnglishSetup.exe, or similar.
(1) You can copy that Setup file to your Laptop as you would any other file from your PC -- (1) copy file to a Flash drive or to a CD, and then (2) copy from that Flash drive or CD onto your Laptop. ...(obviously the 9.8 mb Setup file is too big to go on a floppy disk)
(2) You could copy the file direct from one computer to another if had software such as Laplink, or similar, which involves connecting the 2 computers with a cable (I use parallel-to-parallel cable), and then run the software on both computers which will display mirror-image directories on the screens.Windows has some capability to do direct copy like this, but I haven't used and don't know if would be a problem if the 2 computers had different versions of Windows.
Anyway, once you get the PAF Setup file onto your laptop, just double-click to do the actual install of PAF.
....hope I haven't confused you.....
I've found it so handy to use a Flash drive (also called Jump drive) to download freeware off internet at the library, since their internet connection is faster -- and then copy from the Flash onto my PC at home.
