I'm conducting some research for an article that I've been asked to write on what provisions people make for their photographs after they die and I was wondering if anyone could help me out. I've spoken to some people who conduct house clearances and they've said that often people will come in and take the tv, the dvd player etc, but the photographs get left behind. I guess this is why you see so many boxes of photographs showing up on ebay or at flea markets. If anyone could help me out with the following questions that would be great:
1) Do you have any provisions for your physical photographs after you die? Have you included this in your will? Is their a certain family member who is going to take responsibility for them? 2) Do you have any provisions for your digital photographs after you die? Do you have a way to make sure that they are passed on to the right person? Do you have them archived online?
Also, if anyone has any stories about photographs that have gone missing after a family member/friend has died, that would be very interesting.
If you do respond, please let me know if you are happy for me to quote you in the article.
