You are correct that no one "gets the boot", but there is a red line put on the Patriot and a note that says any future applicants will have to provide proof of relationship or something of that nature. If you go on the members only site and look at the Patriots you will see the one's that have been red lined.Some, like the one my friend submitted will say this Patriot had no children and you must prove another Patriot. (that isn't exactly the wording but the jist of it). I set out to correct a record because I wanted it to be right for future applicants.I think that is what all of us want. In regards to the Quakers, I have three that were considered Patriots by virtue of supplying goods or aid to the American Soldiers.Several of my ancestors named their sons George Washington Hodgson, etc.They did not like the British and although their religion forbid them from fighting, they really wanted the Americans to win.Benjamin Franklin wrote quite a bit about his dealings with the Quakers and how clever they could be in getting around the pacifist rules.
