Gabriel is documented marrying Hannah Brower 1758 in Bucks County in the Tohickon Union Church records. Even tho Quakers were not included in the 3 denominations that used the Tohickon registry there is much indication that he was a Welch Quaker. He and Hannah had a daughter registered in 1760.
Gabriel moved to Loudoun CO VA probably by 1768 where his DNA "brother" John was already living and having children, documented in several ways but none of them in church records nor offical records that I know of.
About 1785 Gabriel had moved to Newberry, Union Co, SC and John to Rowan Co, NC. Both are in the respective 1790 census.
All locales of these old boys were Quaker communities. And one authoritative family history says that Gabriel was a Quaker.
John's only documented wife--she may have been his only wife--was called Diannah (Hicks?)
Because neither man nor his line seems ever to have owned slaves we think they might be Quakers. Further, I find no documented soldiering in the descendants.
