I am trying to trace details about my great-grandmother, Elizabeth Crewdson Brown, was born in Drogheda (County Louth, Ireland) about 1834. She was the daughter of George Brown who, according to records, lived in Drogheda, Aughnamullen (County Monaghan, Ireland), and Gainsborough (Lincolnshire).
I have across a family genealogy where many family members have "Crewdson" as a middle name, and the researcher has advised me that these families were Quakers. "Crewdson" is an uncommon name, and probably even more uncommon as a middle name. It is for this reason I am pursing a possible Quaker connection.
I would be most appreciative if any members have any information or advice that could provide further information about Elizabeth Crewdson Brown or her ancestors.
