I looked through the Hinshaw book (vol. 2 only) for all the Potts references. It is John Potts and Hannah Tyler who I am interested in. I saw the listing myself (John listed under the Potts category) -- and I understand that the Quaker calendar is different, tho I don't know HOW. I'll have to look that up.
But Hinshaw's abstract of the record is enough to make me want to see more to confirm if this is the John & Hannah I'm looking for. You're right, what I'm looking for are the complete Salem minutes, that Hinshaw referenced.
The website you suggested to me earlier proved fruitful -- I got a quick reply from a nice man named Philip who refered me to:
Looks like a great source of records. I have an email request out with them right now, but what love to hear what you might know as well --
My John Potts was b. abt 1760 and Hannah Permelia (possibly/hopefully the Hannah Tyler) was b. abt 1765. I believe, and am trying to find proof, that John was the son of Jonathan Potts (b. 1723 in Philadelphia) and Sarah Clifton (b. 1735) who married in 1756 Greenwich, Cumberland Co., NJ. Jonathan's family were Quakers as well, and I have them documented back to David Potts who emmigrated from Wales to PA.
