I looked for Wallace Jones in HINSHAWS QUAKER ENCYCLOPEDIA, and only find him in the Ohio meeting. There is no mention of him in the Wrightsboro meeting, in Columbia Co, and I find no Newberry meeting in SC.. I did however find them in the Bush River meeting in Newberry Co, SC...the only Newberry meeting is in Tenn, so it's confusing when you call a location a meeting. There are many Patty/Paty folks in the Burh River meeting; 1794-11-23 Rachel Jones, (form Paty) dis mou.... The James and Ann Pattys moved, in 1807, to the Miami meeting in Ohio, taking with them their children Samuel and Mark...and then, in 1813 the family moved to the West Branch meeting with several additional children... The following is what I found on Wallace Jones...this is from the West Branch meeting, in Miami Co, Ohio.It lists him as ; (unfortunately there is no date included, when this was recorded...either that or it was unreadable)
Wallace Jones b 1773.3.6 m Rachel b 1774.12.27 children Phillemon, Jean, Jesse, Mary, Wily, Dorcas, Pearsen. This is the only direct mention of Wallace and Rachel - the only others mentions are as parents to various children...for example; 1811 Henry, s Wallace buried West Branch 1818 Philomon, s Wallace and Rachel d 1830
There is no mention of Wallaces parents...Wallace and Elxiabeth Fritz, in any way, in any of the Quaker meeting records. What it looks like to me might be that Rachel married Wallace when he was NOT a Quaker...later he became one, and all was well when they moved to Ohio. But, be assured, Wallace was a practicing Quaker while married to Rachel, in the Ohio meeting.
