I just sent a 24 page Kennedy Family Journal to a pdf995 pdf file. 24 pages, 215kb, without Index. 1300 pages, 130,000kb? It should fit handily on a CD, and you could throw in a UFT HTML file for good measure, barring the whole shebang coming down with a big crash. Might have to break it up into smaller sections.

pdf995Edit module could be used to append the index. No pix,unless you run it through Word?(shareware pdf995.com).
