I can relate to your problem with UFT on XP system. I started with Roots 89 (in '89) and upgraded each time they put out a new version, ending with UFT. I really liked the program and don't understand why they quit making it. When I got the new computer with the XP system I couldn't get it to load. Then a grandson came along and set it up for me. So I can't help you there. Only to let you know that it can be done.
I did decide to look into different programs for at times UFT didn't put people together right. I guess because I now have over 5,000 names. I bought TMG because everyone thought it was great. Well, I just couldn't get comfortable with it. So went back to UFT. I did this several times. Then I learned about Roots Magic. I tried the sample download, then ordered it. I have the second edition and it's working nicely. All my material imported just fine from UFT, except the formatting underline codes came across as text. So I have to go through and add the underlines and delete the code for underline. Also some of the source information didn't enter. So I am having to check each person, but all in all I'm happy with this program. Donna
