>>Family Tree Maker for Windows (FTW) is as irrelevant to this UFT message Board<<
That's the point. I provide support for both Family Tree Maker and Ultimate Family Tree. On GenForum when I post messages on any of the Family Tree Maker message boards, I use a certain combination of name and email address. That combination triggers GenForum to add the FTW Support graphic to my name.
Most of the messages I create in GenForum are in forums dedicated to Family Tree Maker due to the electronic support policies for FTW (electronic support is provided primarily on message boards) and UFT (electronic support is provided primarily by email).
When I go from an FTW message board to the UFT board, I've got to change the name and email address I use. If I don't, my message gets flagged with that FTW Support graphic. Every other time that has happened, I've caught it, deleted the original message and have reposted my message with a name and email address that does not cause that graphic to appear.
Yesterday, I didn't notice that I used a combination that caused the graphic. When I did see it, it was too late to delete that message and repost it under a name/email combination that does not cause the graphic because if I deleted posts with the FTW Support graphics all of the messages that followed in those threads would be deleted as well.
Sincerely, Paul Burchfield, Genealogy.com Technical Support
