I'm not sure if you mean navigating does not seem to be an issue because FTM users don't care, or because it seems easy enough.
But I like to be able to navigate around my database any way I can. And UFT's event structure is great. I can get an event list for someone, see that they are linked to a census or a probate event, use the links there to go to other participants (who may not be closely linked genealogically), etc. I maintain as many of these extra links as possible, because I have found them useful when planning my research. I don't think any other program has this power, even TMG that has a similar but slightly different event structure (it is not as easy to determine the roles of linked individuals, which I use to guide some of my navigating).
What ever the successor to UFT 3.0 may be, I want those event links of Roots IV/V/UFT.
