Some Computer Interest Groups and some Genealogy groups have subgroups. ex: Colorado Genealogical Society, Computer Interest Group, has sub-groups that meet regularly, in or near Denver. These subgroups include UFTree, TMG, PAF.
I believe Ohio has a Genealogy Interest Group which has two UFTree groups, one east and one west of Cleveland.
There used to be a subgroup for UFTree somewhere in New England but all of our mail to them has been returned this past year.
I don't think our present 'company' is aware of these. Of course, if nobody told them . . . On the other hand, it seems more likely that our 'company' was told, at some time in the past, but the 'right' person didn't get the word or didn't get to keep their job, or the plethora of company changes and reorganizations have broken those contacts.
Perhaps you will be lucky. Someone in or near Maine, seeing your message, might contact you. Then you both could create your own UFTree Users Group.
All of which does not solve your immediate problems, does it?
