Just thought I would start a new thread on this topic, as it seems to me to be a separate issue from "timely and truthful answers" (although not, perhaps, altogether--).
Most people so far seem to agree that UFT 3.0 is OK on fast computers.I'm running UFT 3.0 on a Pentium III, 450 mHz board with 128 Meg RAM and an ATI Rage Expert 2000 AGP 3D graphics card with 34 Meg of RAM on the card. No problems.
I have to say that I agree with those who feel Genealogy.com's support of UFT users leaves a lot to be desired (and this is not a slap at you, Paul Burchfield--you are helpful to the degree you're able to be, given what appears to be the company line.)But I've had every version of the program since Roots III, and I've tried others.Nothing meets my needs for research documentation and reporting like this program, and I'll make do with the bugs until something definitive happens with development, one way or the other, as long as it runs on my machine.
